The vaginal discharge tends to smell foul than what appears before a period is usually white.

However, if you experience a certain kind of discharge persisting throughout the month, then you may need a doctor’s advice.

Consult a doctor if any of the following symptoms persist for the whole month

- frothy discharge
- burning in or around the vagina
- inflammation
- sores
- foul-smelling discharge
